Mental Capacity

There are 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK and it’s predicted that this figure will increase to 1 million by 2025. Capacity has now become an issue that professionals are faced with on a weekly basis. Professionals are often put in the difficult position of discussing capacity with their clients whilst trying to preserve that valued and often long standing client/solicitor relationship.

Capacity assessments are often costly,  slow and frequently lack the detail needed to provide you with the comfort that the question of capacity has been sufficiently addressed.
